Created for a private garden in Wellesley, Massachusetts; the design is based on a Shaker ‘Tree of Life’, with each of the circles colour-specified to the leaf of a different tree-species that grows in the garden: Noble Fir, Japanese Maple, Japanese Stewartia, Sugar Maple, European Hornbeam, Flowering Dogwood, Chinese Larch, Apple, Crabapple, White Mulberry, Colorado Spruce, Cherry, White Oak, Japanese Tree Lilac.
