James Sutherland-Smith
James Sutherland-Smith, with his wife Viera, is a major translator of Slovak poetry into English. His most recent collections of poetry are In the Country of Birds (2003) and Popeye in Belgrade (2008). He lives and works in Slovakia at his local university.
James Sutherland-Smith's work featured in PN Review comprises 15 reports, four contributions of poetry, nine articles, one interview, and 24 reviews, over a period of 27 years. Also available are three reviews of James Sutherland-Smith's work and three translations by James Sutherland-Smith.
