The GarpikeThe garpike is an excellent table fish
I write these lines in praise of it although
There are some who would not, distrusting
Its mask which resembles that of an alligator,
And the bright green colour of its bones,
Which looks poisonous.
But in my south country childhood,
I grew to like the garpike -
