Winter Cadae

In winter
We
Are near freezing

Both

In body and mind,
But the thought of cycles consoles us.
A verse
Like this tries to rehearse

The formula, thus:

Unconfined
Ratio of growth
In the yearly return of Spring;
Periphery of Persephone/
Diameter, Demeter.

Friend,
How you coldly


Stare


From your battlements
At our blood and tides, without concern,
