The Man who was Jealous of Marianne Moore's Hats

Swore often. Wore a never wanted to roam hat
Lived alone. Had a sit by the fire hat with a singed rim
A glow from within cap

But sometimes he longed for a fox hat
An Arctic pair of socks hat
King pinned with penguins, black and white sequinned
A wake me up to the midnight sun cap

Once he dreamed her dragon hat
A drag on and off hat
A slip over the tongue hat, forked with flaming envy
The mind's an enchanted thinking cap

His Saturday nights wanted her tiger hat
Piping hot behind striped breasts and bottoms hat
Disco stomping, mind goes romping
A take the girls for a riding cap

He once saw her wearing a pangolin hat
