The modern woman likes to share her pillow
(Though discrimination matters, she would say)
The new man is a devil of a fellow;

And if with other talents he's grown mellow
He's better for it - each dog has his day -
The modern woman likes to share her pillow.

His eye's still bright (if cheek a little hollow)
His body fluids haven't leaked away -
The new man is a devil of a fellow.

Though morally he's in the sere and yellow
And perhaps a touch complacent in his play
The modern woman likes to share her pillow:

Why can't he till the field if it is fallow
And there's not the smallest price he has to pay?
The new man is a devil of a fellow.
