Volker Sielaff

Volker Sielaff was born in the Oberlausitz region of Saxony, eastern Germany, in 1966 and lives in Dresden. His poems, essays, translations and criticism have appeared widely, and his poems have been translated into over ten languages. He was one of the youngest poets to be included in the landmark anthology of German-language poetry edited by Michael Hofmann, The Faber Book of Twentieth-Century German Poems. He has published six collections of poetry and one journal in prose.
