Paul Eric Howlett

Paul Eric Howlett is the author of three books of poems, all published by Waterloo Press – The Bedfordshire Boy (2022), Onebody and Other Poems (2023) and Random Self and Other Poems (2025). ‘Byron’ is taken from his forthcoming collection Constant Be. Inspired by and echoing poetry found within the Geoffrey Hill tradition, much of Howlett’s work is characterized by its firm base in his home county of Bedfordshire, by its mining the past and trying to fix an elusive present.
