Rómulo Bustos Aguirre

Rómulo Bustos Aguirre was born in 1954 near Cartagena de Indias, Colombia. He is a writer of slow poetry, inspired by the landscape and themes of his native Caribbean. A professor of literature at the University of Cartagena, he won the Blas de Otero Prize from the Universidad Complutense de Madrid in 2010 and was awarded Colombia’s National Poetry Prize in 2019.
