Split Personality

It’s thought by some (if it
Exists, which some dispute)
To result from a clubbing of
The psyche dire enough
To cause the splitting off
Of another self or ten
For the psyche to shelter in.

How much there really is
To this hypothesis
I’m not equipped to say
(Or even try). All I 
Can do is tell you why
I think it shouldn’t be
Dismissed entirely.

Not just your normal blow
Informs my thinking so.
It has its basis, rather,
