Thank you for the invitation to comment on the statement 'A New Orthodoxy'. I think what needs saying is all implicit in your first point, and my only misgiving is that if we need to insist on discrimination, if it is not something we just naturally know we are doing as critics and readers, it may already be too late to do anything for literary criticism.
