So it's come to this! Not only when you've
Just brought out a book, and not quite
Faintly praising: more like a hissing,
Not especially faint, and minus respite.
  In sweeter terms, it's what you still remember
Fondly: the long continuous chirring
Of cicadas, through the night, in one or other
Long-left place - that tropic velvet,
That fecund heat - making a second, more stirring
...
