Two Poems
20,000 Leagues Under the Sea
Roger who averages three movies a week
(And it used to be five -
Everybody’s getting older)
Laughed when I told him that
Drew Barrymore’s father in Ever After
The Cinderella remake, is Joren Krabbe
Who is Losado, the crime boss of Algiers
(Over the bridge from New Orleans) in No Mercy
A handcuff movie -
Richard Gere escapes through the swamp
Handcuffed to Kim Basinger -
Which he hadn’t seen,
But thought it hilarious that I had.
He likes Drew, but missed Ever After
And didn’t know she was in Boys on the Side
Which he mocked because he’d seen the previews,
Didn’t know Lori Petty
