Faithless Dreams Jean Earle

Sometimes, in dreams, we meet our souls'
Perfectly matched shells -
Linked at the dreamer's hasp, shone through
With heat glowed from a lucent dark
Between curves. Even as we coil about
Sleeping companions, the shells close,
Melting the quick …

Sense of the ridiculous,
