A foam crimped wave clear and silent
as a sheet of glass slid across
the shingle that wets your feet before
you notice then dulls and vanishes

or a sigh of wind under the door
that lifts the carpet's corner a single
moment and lets it settle as if
nothing happened though you know it did.
