Remains of the Ancient Britons

 I

 Dunn brock,
 anchorite
 on torr's crag,
 rules coomb
 by Cærlisle cross,
 curses Histæry,
 bin for brays
 asses and brats,
 a dark river
 that sweeps away
 and doesn't stop
 to Usk Wye.


 II

 In the forests and groves,
 Trees known by forgotten
 Names put on growth,
 Grew knotted and maned.

 Then were root-wrenched, felled,
