Moonstruck Storks

Milkymoonstruck, a cool disposition of storks
contemplate a pool in still council.

The sky is a hungup lagoon tonight, deep-high,
and pricked with a million bluecooped gnats.

What are the birds that fish up there, and sip
the airy, crackled bugs with glittered wakes?

The storks contemplate such questions in a still council ...
moonstruck ... at the pool ... into the night ...
