The doughnut, with its red heart,
Has become alive like the fish skeletons
Whose guts are rebuilt of mud.

Jamheart, mudheart, reflect each other
As the bakery window reflects the sea
Like a huge, transparent postcard

And sees the town's stone mouth
Drink a mixture of tide and boats
