Glimpses

James Laughlin

Cicero Wrote
(I forget the Latin now)
that an old love pinches

like a crab but he was
wrong if it was a tender

love such as we shared so
many years ago it persists

even though life drew us
apart and is always sweet.

Heart Island

where the Truth people live
eating fern-shoots & berries

where there is no fighting
no sin no greed no sorrow.
