Greenest of creatures,
             up your left and right
Ridges      garnished aromatically
With vines;
             coated along the slopes
Of tender sides      with turfy reaches;—

Ship-bearing as seas,
             but sliding river-like
With a declining run; in lucid volume
Rivalrous with broad, capacious lakes;

Peer to rills and becks
             in excitation; smart
Challenger to any chilly spring
For a pure cup;
                       little runnel,
Gush of the fountain:
             what does either claim?—
