DAVID CARRIER, a former student of Richard Wollheim, teaches in the Department of History and Philosophy at Carnegie-Mellon University, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

ANDREW FORGE, painter and critic, is at present Dean of the School of Art at Yale University.

PETER LEECH is a Lecturer in Humanities at the University of Otago, New Zealand, where he teaches philosophy and art theory.

BEN NICHOLSON was the subject of two of Adrian Stokes' early reviews in the Spectator (27 October 1933 and March 1937). These are both republished in the Critical Writings, Vol. I.

RICHARD READ is completing a doctoral thesis on Adrian Stokes at the University of Reading.

ERIC RHODE edited the broadcast tribute to Stokes compiled after his death. 'Living in Ticino 1947-50' was first published in Art and Literature, 1, March 1964, and republished in The Image in Form (1972).

PETER ROBINSON has edited the Collected Poems of Stokes for publication by Carcanet New Press.

PAUL SMITH is completing a doctoral thesis on Ezra Pound at the University of Kent. He edits the occasional poetry magazine Spindrift.

COLIN ST. JOHN WILSON, the architect, is Professor of Architecture at Cambridge University.

FELICITAS VOGLER, previously married to Ben Nicholson, has exhibited her photographs widely throughout Europe. Her photograph of Adrian Stokes in the Ducal Palace at Urbino was used as the cover illustration for The Image in Form.
