Quote of the Day
For thirty years, PNR has been the premier British poetry journal. Its coverage is broad and generous: from John Ashbery to new young English poets, from essays on Continental poetics and fiction to reviews of neglected poets both living and dead. At a time when poetry is largely neglected, PNR continues to make an eloquent case for its centrality to our culture.

PN Review 169 Where does PN Review take me? In space? In cyberspace?
Poésie sans frontières: PN Review, one of the world's leading literary journals, passionately committed to poetry, offers a unique mix of international cultural news, views, incisive comment and debate. At the heart of the enterprise is poetry in English and translation by some of the best practitioners at work today, and poetic recoveries from the recent and remote past. PNR has been edited since it began as Poetry Nation in 1972 by Michael Schmidt OBE FRSL.

PNR, in its sturdy A4 perfect bound paperback format, is published six times a year. Each issue includes an editorial, letters, reports, essays, interviews, features, poems, translations and book reviews. The on line version is also freely available to subscribers.
