Alfonsina Storni

Alfonsina Storni (b. May 29, 1892) was an Argentine poet of Swiss and Italian descent. Both lauded and criticised during her lifetime for her atypical style, Storni wrote with remarkable dexterity and verve on issues of solitude, theology, and feminism. Suffering from breast cancer, Storni took her own life in October of 1938.

Alfonsina Storni's work featured in PN Review comprises two contributions of poetry, over a period of 11 years.
